The Field of the Clothe of Gold illustrated the glorious splendor and pageantry of Tudor times. Ian Whitaker plays the part of Henry VIII and Nick Drinkel the part of Francis I in the 1999 Dover Pageant at Dover, College, Dover, Kent, England UK.
Solanje Delannoy in the yellow costume played the part of the Queen of France standing next to Nick Drinkel who played Francis I. Solanje lived in Ardre in France which is the nearest town to the Field of the Clothe of Gold. Mike Scurfield in red played the part of  Cardinal Thomas Wolsey.
The meeting of Henry VIII and Francis I took place on 7th June 1520.
